Hi! My name is Akshay Hari and I am a student who will be attending the University of Pittsburgh next fall. I first started singing at the age of 5, when I took my first Carnatic voice lesson.

The show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" on Zee TV got me hooked on Bollywood singing, and my true passion lies in singing to help the less fortunate individuals of our world. I sing regularly for international non-profit organizations such as Child Rights and You (CRY) and Ekal Vidyalaya.

When terror struck Mumbai in November, 2008, my parents and I organized a fund-raising Bollywood concert in Pittsburgh completely from scratch. The show attracted over 200 supporters, and over $2000 was raised to send over to help those in need in Mumbai. This, in turn, led to me being sponsored to England for another fund-raising concert for the Mumbaikars. This fun-filled evening resulted in over $20,000 being raised for the vicitims of the tragedy.

Also, I would like to thank my parents for not only supporting my passion in music, but for passing on their voices to me.
